Calcium, an essential part of plant cell wall structure, provides for normal transport and retention of other elements as well as strength in the plant. Causes of Calcium Deficiency

A calcium deficiency include: necrosis at the tips and margins of young leaves; bulb and fruit abnormalities; deformation of leaves; highly branched, short, brown root systems; severe, stunted growth; and general chlorosis.Calcium deficiency is pronounced in warm, dry climatic conditions.
