The active ingredient Tembotrione 34.4% SC inhibits HPPD enzyme, disrupting carotenoid synthesis in weeds, resulting in chlorosis and death of target weeds while keeping crops safe.

Mode of Action

Tembotrione is absorbed by weed foliage, inhibiting 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD enzyme). This leads to interference with carotenoid synthesis, causing leaf bleaching, chlorosis, and eventual death of weeds.
